POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Accounts Payable Lead provides support for the A/P Manager. This role is primary to ensure team deliverables, resolving supplier issues, and meeting deadlines. Overseeing AP staff, including planning tasks, reviewing work, covering employee during time of absence, providing training and development. This is an onsite role, located at our Santa Rosa corporate offices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: 

• Resolves all invoice rejections in the system daily. Follows up and makes necessary adjustments and corrections.
• Monitors A/P Automation program to ensure there are no system issues or backlogs.
• Performs weekly check run.
• Prepares daily metric report.
• Oversees corporate Purchase card program. Monitors credit limits, declines and audits transactions.
• Overseas Travel & Expense system, creates and deactivates users, maintains business units and ensures T&E policy is followed.
• Monthly reconciliation of Purchase Card Clearing account.
• Reviews all outstanding (un-cashed) AP checks.
• Ensures company adherence to A/P policies and procedures.
• Monitors vendor inquiries and assists with invoice issues.
• Provides support and guidance for Accounts Payable Specialists/Clerks.
• Assists in 1099 supplier review and processing filings.
• Accounts Payable report reconciliation
• Strong problem solving and decision-making ability
• Ability to lead a team, motivate staff, and provide training and support.
• Other duties as assigned and merited.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education  

• Five years accounts payable or equivalent experience required.
• Degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. JD Edwards (Oracle) experience a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
• Strong organization skills and attention to details

WAGE TRANSPARENCY: 

The base pay for this role ranges from $26.87– $36.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
